Norpix: CineForm Based Direct-to-Disk Recorder

Combining StreamPix recording systems and StreamPix4 software with CineForm compression, it is now practical to record live video from digital cameras directly to your computer hard drive with real-time compression. The combination dramatically simplifies your workflow when moving from camera to edit bay as recorded CineForm movie (MOV) or AVI files are immediately ready-to-edit on Windows or Mac using CineForm's Neo 4K or Prospect 4K.

StreamPix4 software offers a single solution for recording all possible video signals, from single or multiple high-speed and high-resolution camera sources: Analog, HD-SDI, USB2, Firewire, Camera Link and GigE Vision. StreamPix records to all CineForm compression formats - 10-bit YUV, 12-bit 4:4:4, and 12-bit CineForm RAW. During recording StreamPix automatically inserts all CineForm specific metadata including Bayer color pattern, compression quality, curve correction, white balance and current look information which can be used later during post production. For accurate color grading StreamPix can directly use Iridas 3DLUT look files.

StreamPix is hardware agnostic, allowing you to use third party Windows based computers for recording. There is no need to use expensive custom hardware when using StreamPix and CineForm. StreamPix also allows simultaneous high quality audio channel recording, directly to separate wav or bwav formats.
